Virtual Rocky Mountain National Park is a groundbreaking interactive virtual tour of one of America’s most popular and spectacular natural environments – Rocky Mountain National Park in Colorado. The project is unique in both the depth of its coverage and the quality of its imagery.

It is being created and photographed by virtual reality (VR) photographer John Freeman who has specialized in VR photography since 2011. John has spent significant time exploring RMNP during his 45 years in Colorado. John is a Landscape photographer that specializes in Gigapixel Fine Art Wall Mural Photography. His murals are amongst the World’s highest image resolutions available anywhere. His skills at capturing these ultra high resolution photos are utilized in creating the images you will see here at Virtual Rocky Mountain National Park.

Virtual Rocky Mountain National Park is a work in progress started in May 2025. Ultimately it will allow online visitors to experience dozens of locations within RMNP and its surrounding areas, in all seasons. The 360° interactive panoramas are all presented in high resolution, so viewers can zoom in and out to see details, and can pan fully around, including looking upward and downward. Dazzling views from the tops of Trail Ridge Road with its famous cliffs and 11,000 foot vistas will eventually be available, along with peaceful locations along trails and in well-known parts of RMNP.

Virtual Rocky Mountain National Park remains an ongoing and expanding online location experience, with updates and further coverage being added regularly. It is free to the public with no advertising or ads. It is my gift to the visitors that come to this page.

Please enjoy,

John Freeman
