Sept. 14, 2025 – Considered the most beautiful falls in Olympic National Park. It is a triple waterfall that drops 50 feet into the slot canyon below. Being in the subtropical rainforest of Olympic National Park, every rock and dead tree trunk is coated with mosses with incredible shades of green, gold and yellows.
The hike to the falls is a short and easy one. From the roadside Sol Duc trailhead, the walk through an old-growth forest to the falls overlook is just under a mile (1.6 miles round trip.) It’s a mostly level trail with boardwalks and an occasional handrail fence making it suitable for hikers of all levels.
This panorama is derived from 5575 focus bracketed images. It shot with Canon R5 at f/13, 1/2 second exposure time and ISO 100 using a 300mm focal length on Canon 100-400mm lens.
