Sept. 30, 2018. 6:15 PM. — Bright Angel Point near North Rim Visitor Center. Hurricane Rosa had came on shore in Baja, Mexico earlier in the day. By evening some of the clouds from the most outer bands of the storm were reaching into Northern Arizona giving us a glorious show as the sun dropped to the horizon. Earlier in the evening the sun was hidden behind the clouds making the view kind of blah. I had anticipated that as the sun got down close to the horizon it would shine under the clouds to provide nice light. My wife and friends had already headed back towards the car when the show began. Thankfully I had anticipated it and had my camera and Gigapan all set up ready.

Image was shot with Canon 5DSR, Canon 70-200mm lens @200mm, f/11,, 1/20th sec. exposure, ISO 200. It is made up of 24 images, 3 rows x 8 columns 25% overlap in portrait orientation.

  • Standard Plaque prints are available in four Finish Choices. Finishes are acid-free and ultra violet (UV) light protected, shielding it against fading and deterioration and can be wiped down with water or any ammonia-free cleaners.
  • We highly recommend the Metalized Paper for prints, plaques and PlexiPlaq products. This special paper does an excellent job of bringing out the detail of the photos.
  • All of our plaques are produced by Duraplaq on photo quality High Density boards. Numerous Mounting Styles are available along with many Edge Treatments.
  • Approximate lead time for shipping of Prints is 1 week. Plaque mounts and other options 2 weeks.
