Sept. 9, 2025 – Mt. Rainier National Park was our second destination during our Fall 2025 Photo tour. I had selected Myrtle Falls as one of the must photograph locations within the park. Fog and clouds plagued our time during our stay and we never did get a clear view on Mt. Rainier. The view in this photo is the closest we got to seeing the mountain. A huge Lenticular Cloud Crowns the mountain peak (not uncommon) giving the illusion of a UFO hovering over the peak. Puffy low hanging clouds were dancing on the slopes of the mountain.

This panorama consists of 110 individual 45 mega-pixel focus stacked images derived from 992 focus bracketed images. It was shot with Canon R5 at f/11, 1/1000th second exposure time and ISO 400 using a 200mm focal length on Canon 100-400mm lens.

The image as shown is:

  • 1.77 Gigapixels
  • 33,295 x 53,164 pixels
  • 111″ x 177″ (9 ft. 4 in. x 14 ft. 9 in.) 300 PPI original image size
  • Available in 3:2 ratio 12″ x 18″ up to 48″ x 72″ with some cropping on Standard Plaque, , AlumiPress or PlexiPlaq
  • Wall murals up to 9 ft. 4 in. x 14 ft. 9 in. 300 PPI
