Gibbins Falls in Yellowstone National Park

Gibbons Falls drops 84 feet (25.6 m) over a remnant of the Yellowstone caldera rim. The caldera was created by a massive volcanic eruption supposedly some approximately 631,000 years ago. The falls are located roadside, 4.7 miles (7.6 km) upstream from the confluence of the Gibbon and Firehole Rivers at Madison Junction on the Grand Loop Road.
