Delicate Arch Sunset

June 3, 2023. Delicate arch, also referred to as “the Chaps” or “the Schoolmarm’s Bloomers” by local cowboys because of it’s distinctive shape. Spring snow still lingers on the La Sal Mountains behind Delicate Arch as the arch itself is bathed in the warm light of sunset illuminating the top portion. We had hiked up to Delicate Arch to capture the Moon rise. I shot this image a few minutes before the sunset.
This is a focus stacked image derived from 206 individual focus bracketed shots. Canon R5, 200mm lens, f/11. 1/40th sec., ISO400.
