March 22, 2020. 6:45 PM. — Wanted to try to capture a Focus Stacked Panorama of this late afternoon sunset light. I could see a opening in the clouds that I figured the sunset light would illuminate the scene with filtered warm light as the sun sat. Knowing that I would not have a lot of time to shoot the scene, I choose a medium facal length of 85mm to limit the number of images I would need to shoot. The warm light of the sunset gave the desert a nice warm glow.

This image was shot with Canon 5DSR, Canon 70-200mm lens @85mm, f/11, 1/160th sec. exposure, ISO 200. It is made up of 18 focus stacked images, 2 rows x 9 columns 25% overlap in portrait orientation. Each focus stacked image is made up of 7 different focal distances from 6 ft to beyond the Hyper Focal Distance of 70 ft. requiring a total of 126 individual images needed to create this image. Photo Stacking was done using Helicon Focus Pro ver. 7.6.1 and stitching was done with Kolor Autopano Giga.

  • Standard Plaque prints are available in four Finish Choices. Finishes are acid-free and ultra violet (UV) light protected, shielding it against fading and deterioration and can be wiped down with water or any ammonia-free cleaners.
