Last Light at Green River Overlook

June 4, 2023. 8:20 AM. — Jean and I had spent the evening here at the Green River Overlook. I had shoot several panoramas from this area. It was starting to get late and I had packed up my gear in preparation to go to Mesa Arch for a Moon rise shot. I walked back to the spot where Jean had been sitting reading her book and as I looked back at the view I realized I had nearly missed the best light of the evening. I quickly sat up my gear again and started shooting. With the beautiful Cedars in foreground I knew I had to do a focus bracketed set. I also knew that this special light was only going to last 8-10 minutes at the best. It is at times like this that the years of experience count because the changing light was not going to last long and I had to work quickly.
This is an focus stacked image shot bracketed with Canon R5, Canon 70-200mm lens at 200mm, f/11, 1/60th sec. exposure, ISO 400. It is made up of 500 Focus Bracketed images processed to yield 57 individual Focus Stacked images, 3 rows x 19 columns 30% overlap in portrait orientation.

- Standard Plaque prints are available in four Finish Choices. Finishes are acid-free and ultra violet (UV) light protected, shielding it against fading and deterioration and can be wiped down with water or any ammonia-free cleaners.
- We highly recommend the Metalized Paper for prints, plaques and PlexiPlaq products. This special paper does an excellent job of bringing out the detail of the photos.
- All of our plaques are produced by Duraplaq on photo quality High Density boards. Numerous Mounting Styles are available along with many Edge Treatments.
- Approximate lead time for shipping of Prints is 1 week. Plaque mounts and other options 2 weeks.
